 First platted in the 1920s, the Crescent Lake neighborhood has a wonderfully diverse architectural aesthetic thanks to a mixture of early and mid-20th century architectural styles including Craftsman, Dutch Colonial, Spanish Eclectic, Tudor, and Ranch style homes. Front porches are common as are a network of alleyways used for city services and garage access. These features as well as beautifully maintained gardens, mature (and shady) landscapes, and a fair number of St. Pete's famous hexagonal sidewalks contribute to the pedestrian friendly feel of the neighborhood.

 It's charming neighborhood where friendly hellos are the norm and the Crescent Lake Neighborhood Association actively seeks to bring neighbors together with porch parties and holiday events. It's a real community.

 With Crescent Lake Park at its center, the entire neighborhood is also within view of the park's beautiful 20-acre lake. The lake teems with birds and if you lift your gaze to the mural adorned historic water tower you're likely to see the green monk parrots that have made it their home. The neighborhood is also home to historic Huggins-Stengel Field. Built in 1925 as the spring training home for the New York Yankees, it entered the National List of Historic Places in 2019. Today, the field is still used by various local baseball teams. In addition, Crescent Lake Park also has extensive green space, dog parks, paved walking/running trails, playground, and pickle ball / tennis courts. The Crescent Lake community really is the perfect place for people who love nature and outdoor activities.
